What does precision strip mean?
We define precision strip as cold-rolled strip of stainless and heat-resistant steels in widths up to 650 mm and thicknesses between 0.05 and 1.5 mm. In the 0.4 to 1.5 mm thickness range there are overlaps with cold-rolled strip (slit strip), but these relate exclusively to size. Only specially rolled and slit products can meet the specific requirements placed on precision strip.
Characteristics:
• Precision strip is manufactured to EN 10258.
Closer tolerances are possible on request.
• The material can be supplied in strengths from 600 N/mm² to over 2,000 N/mm² (in line with EN 10151).
• Precision strip can be supplied with special properties.
Examples:
– specified low or elevated yield stress or strength,
– controlled grain sizes,
– flatness,
– also available in remelted form for particularly high material-cleanliness requirements.
• The material can be supplied with machined edges (deburred or rounded). |
